Before you book
What is a CP12 landlord gas safety record?
CP12 is a commonly used name for the landlord gas safety record issued after a Gas Safe registered engineer completes the booked safety checks on relevant landlord-provided gas appliances and flues.
How much does the CP12 service cost?
The published GetGasCert CP12 inspection price is £99 for the booked service scope. Additional appliances or work outside that scope must be agreed separately.
Is a boiler service included?
No. A gas safety inspection and a boiler service are different services. Servicing, parts, repairs and remedial work are quoted separately unless expressly included in the booking.
How often do landlords arrange the inspection?
Landlords generally arrange the required gas safety checks every 12 months and retain the resulting record. The specific duties and timing should be managed in line with current landlord gas-safety requirements.
What happens if a safety issue is identified?
The engineer records and explains the issue and any immediate safety action. Repairs, replacement parts or a follow-up visit are quoted separately where required.
